Der Sony Full HD Camcorder, der auch 3D Aufnahmen beherrscht, ist ein gelungenes und gutes Gerät, das sehr gute Videos filmt. Ebenfalls auf sehr hohem Niveau sind die Tonaufnahmen und wäre die Bedienung etwas eleganter gelöst, dann hätte das Gerät eine bessere Note verdient.

Die Bedienung des Camcorders gestaltet sich sehr komfortabel, wobei ihn vor allem die Fähigkeit 3D-Inhalte aufzunehmen zu können besonders interessant macht. Profis werden sich hier jedoch aufgrund fehlender manuelle Eingriffsmöglichkeiten unwohl fühlen.

Das Gerät von Sony ist sehr kompakt und hat ein gutes Gehäuse. Bilder lassen sich sowohl in 2D und 3D mit einer guten Bildqualität aufnehmen, die man sich auf den 3,5 Zoll großen Touchscreen anschauen kann, wobei hier keine 3D Brillen benötigt werden.

Im Vergleich mit dem Vorgänger hat Sony seiner HDR-TD20 nur wenig Neuerungen mit auf den Weg gegeben. Die Bauweise hat sich zugunsten eines kompakteren Gehäuses geändert und die Bildqualität ist nur geringfügig stärker. Die Bildqualität in 2D ist jedoch herausragend, wobei auch Filme in 3D prima aufgenommen werden können. Schade ist hier, dass man kaum manuelle Einstellungen vornehmen kann.
