Experten auf dem Gebiet des Filmens, werden jedoch aufgrund der eher geringen manuellen Einstellmöglichkeiten, schnell auf ihre Grenzen stoßen.
Der Sony verfügt über nahezu alle technischen Feinheiten, die derzeit erhältlich sind und sowohl Bild als auch Ton sind exzellent, wobei der Bildstabilisator seine Arbeit ebenfalls sehr gut macht. Zudem können die Aufnahmen mit einem Beamer, der integriert ist sofort angesehen werden.
Rein optisch wirkt der Sony HDR-PJ740 sehr professionell, wobei die hohe Qualität auch durch eine hervorragende Leistung bestätigt wird. Zahlreiche neue Features sorgen für eine hochwertige Gesamtbewertung, wobei sich die Ausstattung auf einem ebenso hohen Niveau bewegt. Für etwas Kritik sorgt der doch ein wenig klein geratene Bildschirm oder auch die fehlende manuelle Tonaussteuerung.
Insgesamt ist der Sony gelungen und besonders der zuverlässige Bildstabilisaor machen das Filem sehr komfortabel, da man hier nicht so sehr darauf achten muss, dass man seine Hand ruhig hält. Arbeitet man mit einem Stativ, sieht dies schon anders aus und so liefert der Sony mit dem eingebauten Beamer ordentliche Bilder.
