Trotz der guten Bildqualität lohnt sich die Anschaffung des Sony HDR-CX350V nur für Anwender, die den GPS-Empfänger ausgiebig nutzen wollen. Findet dieses Bauteil nur wenig Verwendung fällt der Kaufpreis zu hoch aus und der Nutzer muss sich mit einer größtenteils komplizierten Bedienung zufrieden geben.
Die CX350 besitzt eine sichtbare Tonnenverzeichnung, die jedoch nicht extrem ist und für den gebotenen Weitwinkelbereich immer noch als sehr gut einzustufen ist.
Der Pfadfinder von Sony bringt auch allerhand Eigenschaften mit, die im täglichen Videoleben überlebenswichtig sein könnten. Neben der hohen Lichtempfindlichkeit, die auch bei widrigen Lichtverhältnissen für ordentliche Videos sorgt, ist auch der 12-fach Zoom ein wichtiges Werkzeug beim Verewigen von Eindrücken.
