Ultimate surround sound with 360 spatial sound mapping. Experience surround sound par excellence. 360 Spatial Sound Mapping technology creates five phantom speakers in front of you and reflects the sound from the ceiling and walls, allowing a single soundbar to deliver cinema-like surround sound. Enjoy fuller surround sound coverage. Now even more people can enjoy the immersive surround sound experience. By utilising phantom speakers, 360 Spatial Sound Mapping technology achieves wider coverage than conventional virtual surround sound systems.

Unleash the full potential of 360 Spatial Sound Mapping. For even richer sound reproduction, you can add optional wireless rear speakers. Together with the rear speakers, the Bar 9 creates up to 11 phantom speakers, including speakers directly behind you for an authentic cinema experience. An additional wireless subwoofer and rear speakers provide a fuller, richer sound. To make you feel like you're in the cinema, you can combine Sony's optional wireless rear speakers with an optional subwoofer for even more powerful sound.

Get authentic cinema-like surround sound in your own living room. The Bravia Theatre Bar 9 not only supports industry standards such as Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, but also has IMAX Enhanced certification. Upmix stereo content to surround sound. Sony's upmixer also provides rich surround sound for stereo content. Its innovative algorithm extracts and distributes individual audio objects so you can immerse yourself in 3D sound. During upmixing, AI Sound Separation processing recognises human voices and makes them sound clearer.
