The Vibraslap is a percussion instrument from the group of idiophones and is primarily used in Latin American music. To play it, you hold the instrument by the handle and strike the ball against your free hand. This causes the loose pins in the wooden resonator to vibrate, producing a sustained, buzzing sound. The steel spring helps to keep the instrument vibrating for a longer period.
