As part of this development, the originally notebook-restricted 2.5-inch format is also making its way into standard desktop PCs, as SSDs often come in this format. However, only a few cases have the appropriate mounting options. To still use a corresponding drive, this mounting frame from Silverstone is a great solution.

It requires just a free 3.5-inch bay, and quick-release systems typically do not pose a problem. The bracket can accommodate two 2.5-inch drives. Naturally, conventional 2.5-inch hard drives are also compatible.
