Turned 180 degrees – fresh waffles with the flip waffle maker. The flip waffle maker is a cast iron mold that allows you to easily create savory or sweet waffle pastries. The pre-shaped notches provide a stable position for the two-part mold in the frame. A locking mechanism keeps the cast mold together even during the flipping process. Flipping is no problem at higher temperatures thanks to the untreated wooden handles: A pouring spout located on the side of the flip waffle maker serves as the flipping stop on the support frame. This allows the iron to be turned 180° and regain the correct position with the pouring spout resting on the frame. Therefore, the support frame should be positioned so that it rests elevated on the sides and has a clearance downward at the flipping center that is at least the width of the waffle maker. The ideal cooking station for the flip waffle maker is the Atago: The support frame for the flip waffle maker fits perfectly on the upper edge. Since the iron achieves the best results through indirect heat, it is advisable to use charcoal as fuel. The distance between the charcoal grate and the upper edge of the Atago provides enough space for flipping the cast iron mold.
