The SINAMICS Sinus Filter for Power Modules FSB is mountable and suitable for 3AC 380-480V with 14.0A. This electrical filter is designed for the modular frequency converter SINAMICS G120. Sinus filters limit both the voltage rise time (du/dt) and the peak voltages at the motor winding. Similar to an output choke, they allow for the connection of longer motor cable lengths and significantly reduce bearing currents. This makes it possible to operate standard motors with standard insulation and without insulated bearings on SINAMICS. The voltage stress at the motor winding is thus nearly at a level comparable to direct grid operation. Due to the very low voltage rise times on the motor cable, the Sinus Filter also positively impacts electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). The Sinus Filter is available for the two sizes of Power Modules FSA and FSB, and is suitable for the three-phase voltage range of 380 V to 480 V.
