Protection circuit breakers with communication and measurement functions
The protection circuit breakers with communication and measurement functions are an essential component of SENTRON digitalization solutions. The availability of systems is increased by early responses to warning messages. The protection functions continue to provide safe and reliable protection in the final circuit. The communication and measurement functions facilitate the identification of causes for malfunctions by reporting the trigger reason, allowing conclusions to be drawn about the malfunctions of operating resources.
An additional advantage is offered by the integrated operating hours and trip counters, which contribute to better maintenance planning. Furthermore, the protection circuit breakers with measurement and communication functions capture electrical parameters such as energy, active power, current, voltage, network frequency, and temperature. This increases transparency and allows for the breakdown of energy consumption in the final circuits.
By setting alarm thresholds and additionally measuring differential currents in multiple frequency ranges, precise localization of fault causes is enabled. Due to their compact design, the protection circuit breakers are ideal for retrofitting as well as new construction.
The system can be easily operated via the PC software SENTRON Powerconfig or SENTRON Powerconfig mobile for mobile devices. At the heart of the system of communication-capable protection circuit breakers is the data transceiver SENTRON Powercenter 1000. This device collects measurement values from the connected protection circuit breakers and transmits them to higher-level systems.
Measurement values from up to 24 communication-capable SENTRON devices are wirelessly transmitted to a SENTRON Powercenter 1000, which stores selected data for up to 30 days. Higher-level systems can access the data via the interfaces of the data transceiver.
