The pre-assembled 40-pole front connector with 40 individual wires, type UL/CSA approved, conductor cross-section 0.5 mm², with a length of 5.0 m in screw design is intended for connection to a digital I/O module of the SIMATIC S7-300. This is plugged onto the module to be wired instead of the front connector. This allows the signals from the digital I/O module to be easily connected to the elements to be wired via the numbered individual wires. This front connector with individual wires is part of the flexible connection system SIMATIC TOP connect for the fastest and safest system cabling. In addition to a 50% reduction in wiring effort, potential sources of error during wiring can be significantly minimized.
