Sequential's OB-6 module is a space-saving analog desktop synthesizer that merges vintage SEM sound with cutting-edge technology. The OB-6 features two separate VCOs (plus a sub-oscillator) per voice and continuously adjustable waveforms. You can choose between sawtooth, square, and triangle waves, with variable pulse width. The module includes a legendary SEM filter: each voice can pass through a high-pass, low-pass, band-pass, and notch filter. The analog signal path is completed by a VCA. The filter envelope and VCO 2 serve as modulation sources in the X-Mod area, creating the popular and quirky Oberheim sounds. A dual effects section provides studio-quality reverbs and delays, as well as a brilliant chorus and a reimagined version of the celebrated Oberheim phaser and ring modulator. The effects are digital with a resolution of 48 kHz (24-bit), but the true bypass ensures that the analog signal path remains intact. The OB-6 module offers a multimode arpeggiator and a polyphonic step sequencer. Thanks to the Polychain mode, two OB-6 units can be cascaded into a 12-voice monster synth.
