The SRL-EXT was specially developed for one of Shoei's most popular helmets, the NXR2. The compact SRL-EXT offers both mesh and Bluetooth intercom as well as smartphone connectivity for music, GPS, phone calls and more. The SRL-EXT was specially developed for the Shoei NXR2 helmet. The shape of the SRL-EXT main module and the external battery are curved to match the outer curves of the NXR2. The SRL-EXT allows the user to choose between quick clamp or adhesive mounting. The SRL-EXT main module is installed on the left side of the helmet, while the external battery is glued to the right side of the helmet.

The SRL-EXT offers both Mesh Intercom and a conventional 4-way Bluetooth intercom. Sena's industry-leading Mesh Intercom communication platform has two modes: Multi-Channel Open Mesh Intercom (Open Mesh) and Group Mesh Intercom. Open Mesh enables connection to the Mesh Intercom network with a single button press and offers the industry's first Mesh Intercom channel system.
