The Sela Kalimba 17 is a thumb piano made from high-quality mahogany wood. The wooden body enhances the lower frequencies, resulting in a full, clear, and warm sound when played. The 17 metal tines are tuned to C major. The kalimba has a wide range from c' to e''' (C4 to E6), allowing for the performance of numerous melodies. The respective notes are engraved on the tines, making it suitable not only for advanced players but especially for beginners. The kalimba can be used flexibly, whether as a solo instrument or as an accompaniment for singers, musicians, or dancers.

The package includes a padded carrying case with a loop, allowing for safe transport and storage of the kalimba. Also included are an additional fabric bag and a tuning hammer.
