Due to the wooden body, especially the low frequencies are amplified. The result is a full, clear and warm sound. The 17 metal reeds are tuned in C major. The kalimba has a wide range from c' to c'' (C4 to E6), so that numerous melodies can be played. The respective notes are stamped on the reeds. This makes the kalimba suitable not only for advanced players but also for beginners. The kalimba can be used flexibly, either as a solo instrument or as an accompanying instrument for singers, musicians or dancers. Included in the delivery is a padded stretcher with loop, with which the kalimba can be safely transported and stored. Also included are an additional cloth bag and a tuning hammer.
