Seiko 5 Sports GMT

The SKX Seiko 5 Sports watches launched in the 1990s were a modernised version of the classics, updating the reliability and durability of the 1960s originals. The 90s collection offered improved functionality, increased water resistance, reinforced glass and luminous hands and hour markers. These wearable, endearing values remain in today's modernised Seiko 5 Sports designs.

The two-tone 24-hour bezel is coated in Hardlex for durability, while the GMT hand enhances practicality, visibility and legibility. The bracelet stays true to the SKX's heritage, with five links forming a series of small X-shaped patterns.

The GMT hand and highly visible hour markers, as well as the clear 24-hour bezel, have been designed for practical international timekeeping and allow multiple time zones to be quickly and easily calculated at a glance.

The hands and indices are coated with LumiBrite - a fluorescent luminous paint that quickly absorbs light energy and glows brighter and longer even in dim light. In the dark, LumiBrite begins to glow brightly and slowly fades.
