Tom, the drummer, guides young beginners through all three volumes of the Snare Drum School. In the first volume, everything is developed step by step, from proper body and stick positioning to reading music, basic techniques and rhythms, and simple pieces for one or two players. The second volume builds on a successful mix of so-called technos that include new rhythms and techniques, as well as solo and ensemble pieces. Additionally, students are introduced to a relaxed and creative playing style through the concept of listening, watching, and playing. The freshly printed third volume continues the familiar structure of volume 2. It features plenty of accent and roll exercises, showcases the most important rudiments, teaches new time signatures, and encourages improvisation.
