With the Xacti VPC-CS1, SANYO sets new standards in Full High Definition camcorders. As a "dual camera," it also features a fully functional photo capability with a resolution of up to eight megapixels.

You can easily take photos while recording video. The camcorder's 2.7-inch LCD display is rotatable by 285 degrees, providing flexible subject control.

Optisch ist der günstigste Camcorder im Test ein Highlight. Dem Handling kommt die flache Bauform nur bedingt entgegen, zumindest können ihn auch Linkshänder bedienen. Am Puls der Zeit ist er mit dem Filmen auf SDXC-Karte. Eine allzu hohe Bildqualität erreicht der Flachmann dabei aber nicht. Ein Störfaktor ist die lange Zeit zwischen Aufnahmestopp und -bereitschaft.

Der Sanyo Xacti CS1 überzeugt im Test zwar nicht restlos - bei dem geringen Preis darf der Nutzer auch kein High-End-Gerät erwarten - das Gesamturteil fällt trotzdem sehr gut aus. Der leichte Camcorder liefert bei Full-HD-Videos eine bessere Bildqualität als andere Videokameras aus dem unteren Preisbereich.
