Salewa Ortles Guide L Backpack

The Ortles Guide with 35 liters capacity is a lightweight, robust backpack designed for progressive alpinism. Recent technical developments allow for the creation of much lighter backpacks, enabling faster, further, and safer movement in high alpine terrain.

The Dry Back Contact carrying system features a padded EVA back panel and 3D ventilation channels that enhance air circulation and breathability. With flat, split shoulder straps and an adjustable sternum strap, it keeps the pack close to your body for maximum freedom of movement.

To facilitate quick access to your gear, the pack includes a roll-top closure, direct access via a side, water-resistant YKK zipper, and a separate front compartment ideal for storing avalanche tools. You can reduce the pack's weight by removing the removable, height-adjustable lid and hipbelt padding. This backpack is equipped with a tube guide and an outlet for use with a hydration system. It also features load control and side compression straps, as well as a rope strap with magnetic closure on top for securely stowed gear. Additional attachment options are available for trekking poles, skis (both parallel and diagonal with removable straps), and an ice tool on the front section.

The Ortles Guide is made from 100% REGEN ROBIC®, a high-strength double-ripstop nylon that is 60% more tear-resistant than standard nylon typically used for backpacks, ensuring durability even when scraping against rock and soil. REGEN ROBIC® is crafted from 100% recycled fibers, highlighting our commitment to sustainable production. The reflective logo print enhances visibility for early morning starts or descents in low light.
