With the HHX Complex models, Sabian has expanded its popular HHX series to include very musical-sounding, versatile cymbals. The enhanced treatment with small hammer marks provides a noble shimmer and excellent definition, reminiscent of the significantly more expensive Artisan types. Shrill, bell-like, or overly aggressive tones are foreign to these instruments; instead, they offer a darker and more balanced sound. Nevertheless, the dynamic range is broad and should work well even in moderately loud rock bands.
