Quick connectors are standard connectors with solid round pin contacts. They are available with thermocouple types K, J, T, E, N, R/S, B, and copper. The contacts are polarized to prevent incorrect connection. Cable plugs and sockets are in standard format with quick connection; just press in the conductors and tighten the screw, no terminal cover has to be removed. For types K, J, T, E, and N, the contacts are made of genuine thermocouple alloys. Type R/S has compensating copper/copper-nickel alloy contacts (for thermocouples type R or S), and type B has compensating copper/copper contacts (for thermocouples type B). Color coding is according to IEC specification.
