This compact optical proximity switch features diffuse and reflective sensing with a yellow polyamide housing and an IP67 protection class. Pluggable units are available for both diffuse sensing and reflection sensing, with detection ranges of 200 mm and 4000 mm. Four switching options (PNP open, PNP closed, NPN open, NPN closed) provide versatility for various applications. An LED in the housing indicates the switching status, and the output is fully decoupled (optically isolated). The device uses modulated infrared light and has a short-circuit proof output, available in PNP or NPN with opening or closing collector output. It also boasts low power consumption.
