These heat shrink tubes made of polyolefin with adhesive coating are very versatile and are used in commercial and industrial applications. The meltable adhesive coating provides waterproof sealing and encapsulation of cable connections, wire branches, and cable-integrated components such as terminal blocks and wire splices. These adhesive tubes are also ideal for encapsulating electronic devices with irregular shapes or profiles. Flexible polyolefin is derived from polyethylene and is one of the most commonly used insulating materials due to its high flexibility, quick shrinkage, and durability. When heated, these polyolefin tubes shrink radially by one third of their original diameter, hence the 3:1 ratio. This tube features a self-adhesive inner lining that melts under heat to form a waterproof seal around the connection. This type of heat shrink tubing is also referred to as "double-walled." Very flexible. With adhesive coating for waterproof sealing. Flame retardant. Good adhesion to metals, polyolefin, and PVC. Shrink ratio of 3:1, ideal for irregular shapes.
