Product details
The System-8 is the result of four decades of synthesizer development at Roland - a legacy that has produced some of the most legendary instruments ever made. The System-8 combines the sounds and working methods of no less than three sought-after classics: the Jupiter-8, the Juno-106 and the JX-3P. With the System-8, these three synthesizers are now part of your standard equipment. But that's not all. Mix and match modern and vintage oscillators and filter types with numerous effects, and split and layer everything into new, never-before-heard sound creations. Use the enormous selection of high-resolution controllers to shape every detail and realize your musical ideas in combination with the integrated polyphonic sequencer as well as the motion recording functions to the last detail.
The System-8's synthesizer architecture benefits from decades of R&D experience and includes authentic models of classic oscillators, filters, and effects. In addition, the System-8 features recreations of the Jupiter-8, Juno-106 and JX-3P down to the level of individual components - not to mention the vast trove of legendary Roland synthesizers in the Roland Cloud. But the System-8 can do more than just vintage. It features numerous analog and digital oscillators with different timbres, including Saw, Square, Triangle, SuperSaw, SuperSquare, SuperTriangle, FM, as well as several unique waveforms at once. The filter variety is based on the famous Jupier and Juno series filters as well as modern creations, such as the fascinating Side-Band filter. If you've ever wondered what a fully controllable FM synthesizer with a Jupiter-8 filter would sound like, now's your chance to find out. Thanks to its ability to split, layer and combine different sound engines, the System-8 achieves an unparalleled variety of sounds - from crystal clear to growling, from gentle to violent, with just a few adjustments to the high-resolution controllers.
