Product details

The Bismarck was next to the Tirpitz the largest battleship in the 2nd World War. The 251 m long ship was commissioned on 24.08.1940. After completion of the training cruises she took part in the Rhine Exercise. On 24.05.1941 she sank the British battle cruiser H.M.S. Hood in a sea battle off Greenland. Subsequently, the bow-damaged Bismarck set course for a French port. During the pursuit by British ships and aircraft, the ship was shot out of action on 27.05.1941 and sank in the Atlantic.
