The Powerstroke P3 Classic Fit Coated Drumheads feature a larger inner diameter with a narrower flesh hoop and a step design, specifically designed for older vintage drums that are out of round and have thick overlapping drum coverings. Vintage drums with a thick overlapping seam can interfere with the head tension hoop, preventing it from moving over the seam and resting properly on the bearing edge. When a standard head is pressed over the shell, it cannot vibrate freely, leading to wrinkles in the head. Classic Fit Drumheads provide a solution to these issues by delivering a specially designed head that allows for the right fit, seating, and tuning, even for the most demanding vintage drums.
