Bard's Gold is slower than most current jump'n'run games and is inspired by classics from the late 80s and early 90s such as Rick Dangerous, Alex Kidd in Miracle World, Rainbow Islands, Wonder Boy in Monster World, Erik, and Rodland, which were very popular on the Commodore Amiga and consoles at the time.

There are over 100 handcrafted levels that are randomly selected for each run. The game features a constant upgrade system, so every session counts.

  • Different layouts for each level are randomly selected with every playthrough. This gives you the chance to memorize the levels and improve your skills. With the gems you collect, you can upgrade your character on the Game Over screen. These upgrades are permanent and will assist you in future runs.
