The smartphone is always with you, but reading glasses sometimes aren't. Misplaced, forgotten. Until now. And from now on, never again: Read on is intelligently integrated into cases for the latest iPhones. This way, the glasses are practically always at hand when there’s something to read on the screen. Or when you want to select a menu item. And what does it say about the composition of this fine fabric? And what about the ingredients of this surely healthy food? Read on – always, everywhere.

Reimagined, smartly designed - Industrial designer Sandra Kaufmann and artist Monika Fink have been working in their Zurich studio for many years on the glasses as the ideal folding object. Initially, the goal was to develop sunglasses that are as lightweight and compact as possible. With the idea of combining a smartphone case and reading glasses, the requirements increased, especially regarding dimensions.

Innovative, functional, good-looking - It doesn’t get thinner. The polished corrective lens is 3.7 mm thick, while read on is 4 mm. The minimal overhang of the frame ensures that the lenses do not scratch when being pulled out of the protective case or when lying on a flat surface. The unique design of the temples allows them to fold in the same plane as the frame: the 4 mm remains 4 mm – the case stays handy. Characteristic of read on are the long temples: The reading glasses can be pushed forward to the tip of the nose for sharp vision.
