The waterproofing was tested under a pressure of 0.3 bar while subjecting the cables to vibrations, bending, torsion, tension, and compression. Additionally, chemical and bacterial resistance was tested. Load change tests were conducted in accordance with VDE 0278 Part 1 with conductor temperatures of up to 90 °C. Through measurement and calculation of the diffusion rate, an average lifespan of 30 years was determined. The sealing behavior after 30 years was simulated and confirmed through leak tests with reduced internal pressure.
