TomTom GO LIVE 1000, maps of Europe
TomTom GO LIVE 1000, maps of Europe
at first i enjoyed this navi and thought i had a better one than my lame old tomtom. worked well and was fast.... now about a year and one exchange later, the thing always gives me trouble.
-map updates not possible
-live services do not work reliably
-gps signal is not received reliably (long waiting times, stalls)
-roads partly not visible -> reboot
the device is just annoying
do not buy, it is not worth it
also with me ...battery defective... always reboot while driving... because battery defective no live service possible...
absulu shitty device!!!
It's a pity you can't give a star, because the Tomtom is not worth a single star!!!!
- Battery defective after a few months
- MapShare still does not work today
- New map material bought for Fr.99.-, Navi always says that the latest map is already installed although this is from the beginning of 2011!!!!!!
Tomtom has gone from being the leading sat nav manufacturer to the absolute worst within 3 years! I have always had Tomtom devices but I have never seen such rubbish as the Go1000! Simply "Hands off"!!!!!
Brutally bad navigation system:
- Software unusable. The customer is being abused as a beta tester!!! I was one of the first to buy it over a year ago. Has never worked properly since.
- Constant error messages on the computer and on the navigation device.
- Software updates bring no relief
- Battery is broken after a few months
- Constant restarts during navigation, even when it is connected to the power cable.
To be fair, the few good points are
+ Good screen, easy to read even in sunlight.
+ Super holder (with magnets), the navigation system is super-easy to mount.
+ Clear voice output
Unfortunately, after 6 months I also have to admit that not all the functions that Tomtom advertises with the device (especially Mapshare) work properly.
In addition, the battery of all three devices of the same type that I own is defective after 6 months and the devices restart during navigation without warning. This happens to me with all three devices - independently of each other.
I can therefore no longer recommend the device - and would probably prefer a Garmin / Navigon from today's perspective.
Same experience as the others. At first I was very enthusiastic about the device and its functionalities. But after half a year, the battery was so bad that it kept restarting. Returning the device (after waiting endlessly in the queue) brought back a device (exchange) which cannot be paired with my account. But to use it I have to pair it with the account first. I cannot use it standalone. Calling customer support again got no result, they blamed my internet connection (although I always used the old device like this and have broadband). Now I wait for mail support or not and take out the hammer. In any case, I've wasted more time on support than I've saved on congestion avoidance. No more TomTom!
