tolino Vision Colour

Compared to the "normal" Vision, the device only has colours as an advantage. Contrast, on the other hand, has deteriorated.
What has remained poor is the battery life and stability
First use, the colours are nice, but as I can't borrow comics from the library I can only judge it from the library overview. In general, books can no longer be downloaded or borrowed directly from Aubora.
In my opinion, this is the biggest problem with the new Tolinos and should be fixed ASAP!
The colours are nowhere near as vibrant as in the adverts or on a mobile orcso, but I was aware of that.
Audiobook function not tested, but is certainly an important feature for certain users.

I find it very bad (my upbringing prevents me from using other, more appropriate words for something like this) that Galaxus does not point out that Tolino Switzerland only runs through Orell and Füssli. They offer practically no books in Italian. My birthday present for my wife is therefore practically worthless. I am very disappointed...

You are required to set up a customer account with Orell Füssli. Otherwise you will not be able to set it up. Very slow when searching the Internet

I have a Tolino Vision 6, 16 GB, which works fine. I wanted to transfer my books to the Tolino Vision 6 Colour 32 GB. That works, but the Tolino Vision 6 Color 32 GB is a Kobo Vision 2. Different system, different book sorting, different menus, the categorisation of the books is an imposition. Useless if you have more than 20 books. If I had known this, I would never have bought the 32 GB.

I switched from an old Tolino shine to this device. It is noticeably faster and the font is sharper. Very comfortable to read on. Colour is fine.

I switched from a Kindle to tolino vision colour for current reasons and am unfortunately a little disappointed. I can't understand why there is no hyphenation on a current device in this day and age. I also miss the automatic brightness adjustment when I move from the balcony to the living room, for example. Another topic is the immature integration of the Skoobe functions. Basically, you can say that the eReader works, but just not at the level that others deliver.

This eReader presented itself to me as a pure and exclusive money-making machine for Orell Füssli. The operating system is pure embarrassment. After 6 months, my Tolino no longer woke up and I received a warranty replacement today. Unfortunately, nothing has improved at all during this time. I can download DRM-free books and I can buy Orell Füssli books. I can't seem to use Adobe Digital Edition on it and borrowing books from our public library will no longer be possible for all Tolino devices from May 2024. Improvement was apparently promised, but even almost a year later it hasn't materialised. The Tolino is practically the Nespresso machine among eReaders. I am bitterly disappointed with Orell Füssli and Tolino. Since nothing seems to be going forward in development and so far only a useless beta Internet browser is available, which is not able to read eBooks online, I will probably have to look around for a PocketBook or go back to reading on the iPad. The whole device is a complete nuisance. I was actually looking forward to finally finding time to read again. My first disappointment was that it no longer worked. The service at Digitec's competitors was excellent and I got a replacement in less than 24 hours, but unfortunately I can only read one book... Never again a Tolino, thanks for nothing.

The wandering around of the font until it finds itself again takes some getting used to. But it's not a PC after all. Otherwise great
When I want to share books with family and friends, I always get a technical error.
Tolino reset to factory settings because Weltbild was bought by Thalia, new library taken from Orell Füssli.
Then I tried to share the book again and the technical error message appears again
The product is scrap!
I haven't tried it yet as it's a Christmas present. But as always, very fast and good delivery.
Now let's hope it's the right present

Although the Tolino Vision Vision Color has got a lot right, it doesn’t excel at anything in particular. The colours are a little too pale for my taste. And although it’s nice to be able to highlight texts and take notes, it’s frustrating to watch the notes disappear when you change the size of the font. When it comes to its notepad feature, the Vision Color is up against ReMarkable or the Elipsa from Kobo. Sure, the competitors are more expensive. But if you’re after a sophisticated digital notepad in a larger format, you might want to spend a little more. For me, the Vision Color is neither one nor the other. Instead, it’s an e-book reader trying to cram in so many advantages, the disadvantages of this compromise start to show. But if you can live with that, it’s a solid colour e-reader at an attractive price.

My third Tolino is slightly larger, also allows colour and also plays >H> audio books. Good concept, I'm happy with it.

I like the Tolino Vision Colour, but I don't use it for comics and the like. I therefore rarely read books with pictures, which is why the colour quality doesn't matter to me.
What I think is great is that I can continue to support my local Orell Füssli store. I like to be inspired in the stores and then buy my eBook at the checkout.
I find reading on the Tolino very pleasant and the buttons make it easy to turn pages.
The brightness / light is also good and pleasant.
What I find really frustrating, however, is the extremely slow response time. If you haven't had an eReader before (like me), you might actually be shocked by this.
I think it urgently needs support.
In general, I think an eReader should work more like a tablet.
I bought the eReader because the iPad Pro is too heavy for me to read - yes, a device costing 200 can't be compared with a device costing 1000. But there are already inexpensive entry-level iPads that I think you can get more out of.
The Tolino app runs more smoothly on the iPad - a pity.

Too disappointed by this e-reader compared to my Kobo libra! I wanted to change because I wanted to have direct access to media libraries without using a computer for the transfer. But the screen was not as bright as on the Kobo and slightly too pixelated, so I sent the product back. So I didn't really use it.
Not
Found a way to link directly to the media libraries either...
