    Not so great under Linux

This SSD has no DRAM built in, and under Linux, at least in my ThinkPad, this leads to the system often pausing for 15..30s (probably to write some data to the SSD; during this time the system is blocked).
    It seems that the
combination of missing DRAM and Physon controller does not always bring the desired performance under Linux.
The same system with a WD Blue works perfectly.

    good compromise

For replacing the mechanical equivalent (1TB) of a laptop, it works very well. Probably not one of the fastest read/write speeds, but at this price it seems a good compromise. There are certainly more expensive and cheaper 1TB ssds, but the professional end definitely costs more. For reliability I only have the experience of other PNY SSDs that have not given any problems in 4 years.
