Recommended for VR enthusiasts. Anyone thinking about upgrading from Vive to Vive Pro should definitely take a look at the Pimax. Those who still need base stations and controllers can do the math:)
Backer 49xx about 2 weeks of testing:
+ FoV (small, medium and large adjustable via software) higher immersion compared to VR 1.0
+ resolution/sharpness
+ little SDE
+ large sweet spot
+ Vive base stations and controllers compatible
+ can be played smoothly at 45fps with Brainwarp (similar to Motion Smoothing)
+ Software will be further optimised (FFR still to come)
+ Steam and Oculus Games compatible
+ Additional modules (Deluxe Audio Strap, Eye Tracking, Finger Tracking, Wifi etc.) planned
+ VR 2.0 (Vive Rift 1.0 / Vive Pro 1.4 / SamsungO+ 1.5)
- Black levels (no OLED) but ok
- Colours (no OLED) but ok
- uncomfortable (remedy: THAT from the Vive very comfortable)
- No space for glasses under the HMD, distance too small (thanks to VR Cover Costum Mod the glasses have enough distance)
- With large FoV, slight distortions possible at the edges depending on the game (with normal and small FoV, I haven't noticed any distortions)
- needs good hardware (min. 1080ti)
- Patience and nerves (Pi-Tool settings and Steam-SS values cannot yet be saved per game) - ch068423

purchased this productSuper headset. In combination with the new Vive Index Controllers and the Vive Deluxe Audio Strap.
Buy recommendation if the PC and graphics card is up to date, I certainly recommend a NV 2080 TI and at least an Intel 7700K.
