Before that I had an old 5000, with which I was very satisfied. But the attempt to "step up" turned out to be a big mistake:
There is a big rim around the blades that prevents some places from getting it right. Example of this: It doesn't shave around the nose because the blades can't get to the spots. Anyone who has the same problem, that one-line stubble is constantly felt as a foreign body, should avoid this shaver.
Unfortunately, I have to stop using Philips razors for over 30 years.

For my RS, this razor worked very well to shave in 3 minutes in the morning.

I have had almost all Series of Philips razors. All have been good and have shaved. All have 3 shaving heads, feel good in the hand and have a long battery life.
But why should I shave wet? After shaving I rinse the razor and put it where to dry? On the charging station of course not, on the cleaning device of course not, so in the drawer. The next day, the drawer is wet and the razor is still damp. Well, I do not have to rinse him every time, but according to the recommendation 1x per week clean with the cleaning station.
This lasts 3 months with weekly use and costs 8 francs, so 32 francs per year. So the same sales promotion system as with the printers. Cheap printer, expensive color cartridges.
Oh yeah, there's the free shaving app to go with it. What a piece of junk! Who would download an app with less than a 4 point rating? Every time you comment on a bug in the app, the developers tell you to report it on the support page. Why should I do that? I don't write 2x the same thing! On the support app nobody sees it, on the app rating everybody sees it.
I still give it 5 stars because it shaves well. What do I need a charging station for? A cleaning station? An app? An elaborate packaging? A manual? The only thing I need is a cord and a brush.

Have a 10 year old PT920 with old shaver heads, this one still shaves significantly better than the brand new 7000. Unfortunately, I can no longer find shaving heads for my old one.
Philips disappoints me.

The product has missed the target by far. It may belong rather to the cheaper models, but has with over 140 CHF a clearly too expensive price for the performance. As an emergency nail for spontaneous trips, the part may be enough, but not for permanent shaves.

Finally no more red neck after shaving. Very pleasant. The battery lasts an amazingly long time.
Only the expensive cleaning cartridges I could cite as a negative point. But you do not have to use if you do not want.

I received the shaver as part of a free product trial. Philips has no editorial influence on my review.
I am pleasantly surprised by the 7000 series shaver! Normally I prefer wet shaving with blades, as my skin has been very irritated by dry shaving so far. Many know what I'm talking about: burning skin, redness and pimples. However, that was not the case with this device! You can connect the shaver with an app, this should then provide a better shave. The razor removes the beard hair very cleanly and is gentle to the skin by the sharp blades. It is enough if you drive once over the skin area, even with a 3 day beard. What I still find great: you can also shave while showering, because the device is suitable for dry shaving as well as wet shaving. I find the volume of the device during shaving pleasantly quiet. The battery life is very long. Thanks to the ergonomic handle, the device is good in the hand while shaving. I can recommend this shaver 100%!

I bought the razor in a special offer. With the special offer price, the shaver is absolutely ok. Compared to a Braun Series 9, which I also used to have, the Philips is not really worse but much cheaper. The neck and chin areas have their weaknesses and you have to go over them a few times. That's why I'm thinking of switching back to the blade...
Addendum December: wanted to give the shaving head a good cleaning and went about it the wrong way: Shaving head gone and replacement costs half of the new device -> dispose of device and definitely only shave wet. It's not faster/slower but more thorough...

I have been a very satisfied user of a Philishave 6890 for many years. This wet-dry shaver has been with me since 2001 and it has never let me down until now. Although the shaving head holder broke due to a fall (I glued it) and the sheathing of the charging cable came off a long time ago, the shaver still cuts like on the first day. The housing is very solid and has already survived several falls completely unscathed. Even the battery, which will soon be 18 years old, still lasts for 1 week! Furthermore, the shaver can be used both by battery and directly from the mains. Nevertheless, I wanted to treat myself to something new after more than 17 years, which is how I ended up with the Philips Star Wars Series 7000. This shaver is almost the pure opposite of my previous one. The housing looks so fragile and cheap that it would hardly survive a fall from a height of half a metre. And as soon as you unpack it, you notice that Philips has really put on the brakes. Neither a holder nor a brush (as with the 6890) is included. What disappoints me most, however, is the fact that the shaver can only be used with a rechargeable battery. If the shaver is connected to the power, it remains inactive. This is Philips' way of ensuring that the shaver can no longer be used once the battery has been disconnected. Sorry dear Philips, but this is a mess! I was more hopeful about the shaving result. After all, this shaver has a more flexible shaving head than my previous one. But the advertising - less skin irritation - probably simply means that the razor no longer cuts as well as the previous razors. While I get an excellent result within a few minutes with my old razor, this razor doesn't manage to give me a clean shave. The irritation is certainly less, as the razor simply doesn't catch all the hairs. Conclusion: A thoroughly disappointing device.

I've tested it a few times and was always annoyed by how badly it shaves. Sometimes it pulls hair out instead of cutting it.
Yesterday I tried it again and after 20 minutes I looked like a plucked chicken. Some parts were shaved and other big parts were not. I don't recommend this to anyone. I haven't bought such a piece of rubbish in a long time.
The app tells me that I'm using the device correctly and it still doesn't shave.

Just a small remark about the packaging. It seems that my product was opened before shipping. I'm not sure what to do, but it's a mess when you see that the plastic packaging is empty and the contents are on top, and the stickers that are supposed to seal the packaging have obviously been peeled off.

After a long 14 years, I had to replace my Philishave. Until then, everything was OK. So a new Philishave, what else. Unfortunately I underestimated the size of the device a bit. Now it feels like driving an SUV through your face... around the nose and ears it becomes difficult to work cleanly. That was much easier with the old model. Conclusion: it's not only on the roads that SUVs are becoming more popular, but also with razors.
