We love the Philips Series 5000 kettle and are absolutely thrilled with the high-quality design, the high-quality workmanship as well as the performance. The kettle is made of crystal clear glass. When you switch it on, a blue indicator light comes on, making the kettle an instant eye-catcher. The lid is fully removable and is just like the hidden heating element made of stainless steel for easy cleaning. The kettle also features a micro-sieve filter. We have very hard water here, thanks to the sieve the limescale is filtered.
The kettle with a capacity of 1.7 liters is best suited for families. I personally like the markings with the cups very much. Absolute purchase recommendation

I like the kettle very much. It has a high quality (glass). Boiling water is really fast. The cleaning is easy. It has a large capacity and filling is top because it has a large opening. I use it 1-2 times a day. Glad I switched to this kettle.

We bought this kettle a few months ago because we wanted to get away from our previous plastic kettle. With this kettle, only the two plastic components, the lid and the pouring strainer, come into contact with the water. We were very disappointed when we used the kettle for the first time. An immense plastic odour as soon as you open the lid.
This odour persisted for several months (we use the kettle every day). Only now, after 4 months, is there no longer any plastic odour.
The odour clearly comes from the lid. As this is made of softer plastic, we don't even want to know what plasticisers etc. have dissolved there. With our previous kettle, which was made entirely of plastic, we never noticed such an odour in all these years.
Another disadvantage is that it is a German version with a Schüko plug. An adapter for the Swiss plug was included. However, this makes the plug so heavy that the station always falls off the kitchen worktop if the plug is not inserted and hangs as soon as you take the kettle away.
We will replace the kettle as soon as possible and would not recommend it to others.

We received the kettle free of charge as part of a product test. Philips has no editorial influence on our review.
The kettle convinced us with its beautiful design and high water capacity. We use it daily mainly for making tea water and for cooking. The blue light makes the already classy product even more worth seeing.
A small minus point are the partially sharp edges at the spout. Possibly this is only the case with our kettle. Nevertheless, we would recommend the product to anyone.

The kettle is very good in the hand and it is very easy to use.
When filling the cup with water nothing tilts beside it (this experience we often made with other models).
The design is also very nice with the blue light and it is very quiet.
The kettle shines with its large capacity.
We use the kettle every evening to make us a cup of tea.
We are very happy to have been chosen to use this kettle free of charge as part of a product test and enjoy it every day.
