Good shaving product, but not perfect for super sensitive skin.

Shaves much better than one would expect from "just a trimmer". Unfortunatelly it doesn't solve my sensitive skin problem. It is still much better than the Gillete Mach 3 razor blade for wet shaving.

    Pro

    • Good shaving - really short
    • Battery doesn't show signs of fatigue after few week worth of shaving (ca. 10 shavings)
    • Relativelly quiet
    • Easy to clean
    • Really compact and easy to hold

    Contra

    • It doesn't provide consistent shaving - it is easy to miss a spot. I always have to check twice.
    • The shaving hair is flying everywhere. Need to wash the sink and change T-Shirt after.

Nice for a shave, bad for beards, catastrophic for body trimming

My Philips Multigroomer's battery is dying, and I bought this because I read it was "für Männer mit Bart die gerne verschiedene Bartstyles tragen." [Men with beards who like to try out various beard-styles.] First: It did a good job on the areas above and below my beard line. Very close shave, similar to using a Bic shaver. Then I tried to trim my beard with the included comb set to maximum length (9mm). Ugh. It took FOREVER and seemed to hack and pull more than it cut. The results were extremely irregular, almost comical. (Also, since the maximum length is 9mm, I had to go a little shorter than my prefered 1.2mm - but honestly, it trims so badly that it doesn't make any difference.) Since it did a nice job on my neck, I then tried it out on my armpits - something the Philips Multigroomer does VERY well - and ...just ... wow. I ended up with red welts and bleeding spots on both sides. Still painful almost a day later. I stopped then - but if you're thinking about taking this machine "down there" for intimate manscaping - just don't do it, for all that's holy.
I will actually keep this for trimming along my beard line, but I'm buying a new Philips Multigroomer for everything else.

    Pro

    • close shave (face and neck)
    • no more irritation (face and neck) than a Bic shaver

    Contra

    • combs only allow a maximum length of 9mm
    • beard trimming function EXTREMELY weak, slow and irregular
    • don't even THINK about using it to manscape tender spots (like armpits ... or worse)

Good for grooming 3-days old hair. Nearly unsuitable if you need the clean look.

It shaves very coarse. After using it, my beard is as long as end-of-day with another shaver.

    • Easy to use
