Shaves much better than one would expect from "just a trimmer". Unfortunatelly it doesn't solve my sensitive skin problem. It is still much better than the Gillete Mach 3 razor blade for wet shaving.

My Philips Multigroomer's battery is dying, and I bought this because I read it was "für Männer mit Bart die gerne verschiedene Bartstyles tragen." [Men with beards who like to try out various beard-styles.] First: It did a good job on the areas above and below my beard line. Very close shave, similar to using a Bic shaver. Then I tried to trim my beard with the included comb set to maximum length (9mm). Ugh. It took FOREVER and seemed to hack and pull more than it cut. The results were extremely irregular, almost comical. (Also, since the maximum length is 9mm, I had to go a little shorter than my prefered 1.2mm - but honestly, it trims so badly that it doesn't make any difference.) Since it did a nice job on my neck, I then tried it out on my armpits - something the Philips Multigroomer does VERY well - and ...just ... wow. I ended up with red welts and bleeding spots on both sides. Still painful almost a day later. I stopped then - but if you're thinking about taking this machine "down there" for intimate manscaping - just don't do it, for all that's holy.
I will actually keep this for trimming along my beard line, but I'm buying a new Philips Multigroomer for everything else.

It shaves very coarse. After using it, my beard is as long as end-of-day with another shaver.
