Bought the kettle in September 2020. Kettle does what it should do and quite well. It has a Swiss 3-pin plug, so does not need an adapter in Switzerland. There is no plastic inside where the water is boiled. The housing can heat up because metal conducts heat, so only touch the handle. He does not drip but everywhere around but pours quite nice, which already reduces a burn hazard. Find it great that you have not only a liter display at the water display, but it is also how many cups can be filled with it. It beeps, unfortunately you can't turn that off, but it doesn't beep ultra annoying or loud. Temperature selectability and keep warm function work well. Can be basically easy to handle.

The water heater takes a very long time to boil the water. Our old, much cheaper model, managed this much faster. The fill indicator is hidden behind the handle. The placement rather pointless.
A major drawback is that the stove gets very hot. You burn yourself quickly. If you open the lid, the condensation runs directly over your hand.
I do not recommend the stove to buy and had we not already two weeks in use, we would return it. Now we hope that it at least has a long shelf life.

Philips advertises with pure stainless steel and durability. But then at the spout is a plastic strainer (coarse), in which the micro strainer is inserted. The boiling water thus comes into contact with plastic when pouring out, which combined with the strong plastic smell of the cooker (and so "felt" also of the water) makes no desire to prepare tea with it.
Unfortunately, a return of this product is not possible.

A few reviews criticize that you can burn yourself on the device, it gets hot. Yes, it is a kettle, temperature is in the nature of things. However, if you are comfortable using other complex devices such as pots or knives and forks without injury, you can reach for this device without hesitation.
