I first had a Toshiba Portege R830, 13", then a Toshiba Tecra Z50, 15", for business. I was/am very happy with both devices. However, I have always longed for more performance. The devices mentioned above are office notebooks, very light, very enduring, but not really suitable for image editing and/or games.
I looked around for a long time. ASUS Gxxx, MSI GT72x Schenker XMG Uxxx, Alienware 17 Rx sw. ... I was relatively taken with the XMG models, but they would have cost over 4000 euros...
By chance, I discovered this new Medion model on a notebook reviews site, which had just been launched on the market. A quick search and the purchase was made, even though some of the above-mentioned models performed better.
Now, two weeks after the purchase, I am very satisfied with the device. I immediately replaced both HDDs (first 1TB on one drive, now 3TB, once 1TB "slim", 2TB normal) and installed a Samsung 850 EVO mSATA 500GB.
I'm not buying the device to do tests, but to play games, edit pictures and watch films. So far, I have nothing really negative to say about it.
I have to get used to Windows 10 a bit, but somehow I like the new operating system. Games are no problem thanks to the GTX980m. The processor is quite a leap forward for me (previously an i7 4600U...).
I can't say anything about reliability yet, it's only been in use for a fortnight....

I have read a lot of reviews and have come to the conclusion that this is the best value for money. I have to say that I ordered it during a promotion. Nevertheless, the normal price is still very good. If I configure an Alienware accordingly, the price is higher.
After a few days of use, I can say that every gamer will enjoy it. It runs like a "handset".
Somewhat negative is that the keyboard illumination could be even better. The narrow zero and shift keys also take some getting used to at first. I don't see the often negatively mentioned heat development as a problem - every gamer laptop gets hot when you push it to the limits. Some may be bothered by the lack of a drive. But in the age of Steam, that's not really a problem - the laptop is thinner than some others.
I played these games at maximum resolution, without any limitations:
Elite Sniper 3
Tom Clancy's the division (New York)
Rome II

functions perfectly, no glitches or problems.

The unbeatable price-performance ratio and the attractive design convinced me to buy it. I've had the laptop for about a month now and am very satisfied. Only the bulky charger is a bit unwieldy and the battery lasts no more than 90 minutes at full capacity, but that's quite enough.

Extremely fast laptop, have had it about 2 weeks now and it runs flawlessly.
The only thing that stands out is the large power supply but if you have enough space this is not a problem, for this the cable is long enough so that I could save the extension cable 👍
