The enclosure does what it is supposed to do for me. But it is not suitable for the quick exchange of hard disks. The advertising text says "open the flap, take out the hard drive, put in the new hard drive, close the flap, done". In my opinion, the 6 fiddly screws that you first have to open and then close again and which you hope will not damage the inner plastic cage should also be mentioned.

The big problem with this case is that the screws each have to be screwed into plastic, and you have to be very careful about that if you want the case to survive a few hard drive changes. "Hard drive out, new hard drive in, flap closed, done," as the description says, is not. Also, you can't screw the plastic parts of the case that keep the hard drive from sliding out really tight, or you risk destroying the soft plastic you screw the screws into.
I would only buy this enclosure if I wanted the absolute cheapest UASP capable 3.5" HDD enclosure and this is the absolute cheapest. Otherwise, it's just too cheaply made and won't last very many hard drive swaps.

Thanks to the ICY Box, I was able to breathe new life into the 3TB HD of my defective NAS. Was easy to install and runs so far flawlessly.

With only six screws hard drives are quickly mounted and unmounted. I have the Icy Box under the desk, there it does not interfere. Before I wanted to put it ON the desk, but the rattling of the hard drive was a bit too loud for me.

The predecessor (Icy Box IB-373U3) seems to me to be much better processed. But unfortunately it is no longer available.
Already when unpacking the whole thing falls apart, because the housing screws are not yet inside. The housing screws drill directly into the plastic. You can only use them 2-3 times, after that the plastic will be worn out and the case will fall apart. That's probably why the screws are not screwed on delivery.
The included screwdriver is okay, so you don't even need your own tools.
When opening and closing you have to be careful not to pinch the LED cables. They were loose in my case (it has plastic hooks where the cables are supposed to be hooked, but the cables don't want to stay there).
All in all, the thing runs now and I had no failures so far (6TB data backup created).

Ideal for continuing to use a 3.5" hard drive that is no longer used as an external drive with USB 3 connection. The assembly is simple. Screws and screwdriver are included. With aluminium housing to dissipate the heat.
