Can record digital TV signal from antenna cable after keyword search over all channels
It is very helpful if you want to do more than just watch time-shifted TV. The recordings can be converted to mp4, edited on the PC and used further, even offline, on the road and they can be shared.
Pro
- Enter a keyword, then all programmes of all stations with this keyword will be recorded.
- Recording quality impeccable
- Recordings can be used right up to excerpts in Powerpoints.
Contra
- TS or Mpg format must be otherwise converted to current mp4 format
TV-Stick does what it is supposed to do, but the software is hacky and does not vent stably.
Unfortunately I had to replace my old 10 year old TV stick (SW no longer runs since the last Win 10 update). This Hauppauge SW can only record one channel per time unit (compare with old Terratec SW: several in the same bouquet / frequency). Recording quality good, files somewhat smaller. Too bad the EPG goes from 00:00 to 24:00 and not from 05:00 to 05:00 d.f. scrolling. Once the recording has started, you can't change anything about it, not even the end time or the behaviour after the recording.
