Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-1700 MC-Kit

I have been running this card for a few days under Win7 64bit Ult.
I use the WMC. I am very satisfied so far.
However, I had some difficulties until the search found the most important channels. It is also a pity that the programme switching only works when the focus is on the TV picture.
I have been using this TV card for 3 weeks and it works very well under Vista 64bit with Windows Media Center.
I watch TV with the cable and on a 24 inch monitor and the quality is always very good.
I recommend it!
so far no problems with:
Vista 64bit Ultimate, 4GB RAM and 1920x1200
top product with good image quality
With Windows Media Center, the picture experience is simply a dream! You have to get closer to the screen to see a few small errors (and that at a resolution of 1920 x 1200!). With Vista Ultimate 64 and 8gb ram no problem at all. Super recording function, but unfortunately you can't programme it to switch the PC on and off by itself. (This already exists with some products). You can't have everything (unless you buy it ;-).
Super price/performance, with emphasis on the performance.
I have not installed WinTV at all.
The card runs 1A with Mediacenter!
The quality is also very good via beamer!
first run with WinTV, programme condition rather bad than good.
After a few days, the size of the video image in WinTV was suddenly only half as large, a very strange bug.
After a day of searching for a solution without success, it occurred to me that I also had the MediaCenter with Vista Ultimate.
Now it runs without any problems, no errors and very easy to use.
Conclusion: With the MediaCenter the thing runs 1A! The Haupauge software, on the other hand, can be thrown in the bin!
Btw, I can only confirm that I also have Vista x64 (ultimate edition) and the card runs without problems.
