We use this projector for our parish activities.
A nice screen, very big that everyone can see.
Easy to set up and use.
Surprised by the sound, we will even be able to use it for small meetings without needing the whole sound system and the PC connected to it.
In short a very good tool, for the moment (we have just installed it) nothing to say.

Super image, very good management of HDR, sound surprising for a projector, silent with the laser from 50% to 60%, but noisy at more than 80%.
Very good projector but some defaults: lack of many settings, Epson had accustomed us to better in this area, it lacks particularly the "adjustment of convergences" so impossible to remove the double blue or green contours (visible only from very close), no reset of the parameter and it also lacks many settings for the colors, (but fortunately the basic settings are good).
If the 1080p resolution is good, a 4k version would be a plus.
And I'm viewing on a 80" fixed frame screen for UST, at a distance of 2m back.
I had some geometry problems, but Epson certifies that the problem comes from my screen
I use a Sony X1100ES UHD Bluray player, which allows me to output movies in their original reso to avoid upscale-downscale of 1080p movies (Sony x700 or X800m2 also do this).
The quality of movies is excellent in bluray, and even better in UHD bluray, a movie like Blade Runner 2049 is dazzling.
The UHD blurays of Starwars show a slight lack of resolution when the yellow text at the beginning scrolls. but in the movie no more problem
The sound of the projector is excellent with clear bass and voices, thank you Yamaha
The Android TV part does not support all applications
And it's a shame not to have a RJ45 Gigabit socket, and an HDMI eARC
Despite these points, it's a great show

The projector was actually ok initially, the picture was good, but the ventilation was quite loud. To be fair, we already knew that the device was rather loud when we bought it.
After a few months, the device started to haunt us: the projector started to switch on automatically at around 5 o'clock every night after use. Recently, for about 2 weeks now, sound dropouts have been occurring at 15-12'' intervals. This means that the projector can no longer be used and is now just expensive scrap.

120" screen diagonal on the living room wall with normal stray light during the day? No problem! We are thrilled! With just a little distance from the wall, you literally get great cinema. All in one compact device.

Overall GREAT projector!
BEAUTIFUL design!
INCREDIBLE Yamaha SOUND
Price/quality - We got this as a special offer, nevertheless current 1.7k seems like ok offer.

The Epson LS300 is a very solid laser projector for its price range. It is relatively easy to set up and comes with a variety of useful ports, a nice remote, and built in android tv. There are some apps that are not available of the big streaming options, so you may want to rely on a separate chromecast, console, computer or apple tv to stream certain things. Setup is relatively easy, but don't forget to manually adjust the lens with the manual side control panel (hidden). Also important to note that if you have a wall that you have been using for a regular or short throw - non-laser projector - and you are switching to ultra short throw - you will see a difference in terms of the gradient and wall defects becoming more visible, due to the narrow projection angle next to the wall (this is basic physics - not specific to this projector) so for a perfect image with this type of projector you will need an extremely flat wall or ideally a screen. Good screens of 100" and up can cost from 450.- to 1000.- on Digitec Galaxus - so just keep that in mind when making the purchase. Also note that even with different light and optical settings the image can appear to have reds and blues that don't look as natural as with a classical projector (I was previously using the Benq TH671ST).
With regards to gaming, the input lag is relatively low, below 50 ms - according to Chris Majestic on YT it's even lower.
With regards to watching films and TV - note the "tunnel" effect that I mention in the pros and cons; when the image is transitioning from very dark to very light, you get flashed with a bright white washed out screen for a second before the image adjusts. You don't have this type of effect with regular bulb projectors (non laser). With regards to noise - at the highest levels of brightness it's quite loud.
Overall this is a satisfying purchase in the UST laser category - but buyers should be aware of the points mentioned above.
