purchased this productConditionally recommendable access point - worthwhile in any case in combination with a router from Draytek.
Mediocre performance of the access point in terms of range / penetration of walls as well as roaming via software controller compared to what the competitors do.
Ubiquiti definitely scored better in terms of range - although my flat (house built in 1895) with about 80cm thick exterior walls may not be the standard either. In any case, there is unfortunately no clean Wi-Fi reception on the balcony.
However, overall still recommendable due to the included features as well as the price/performance ratio, provided that a router from Draytek is already in use. The central AP management and the controller directly in the router make it possible to tidy up the "device park" a little and simplify the integration of additional APs.Pro
- Simple set up
- In combination with a router from Draytek, central management of several APs is possible.
- Wide range of functions
- Antennas are exchangeable
- PoE supply possible
- Integrated switch available (combination possible)
Contra
- Roaming between different access points often does not work smoothly
- WPA2-Enterprise (802.1X) often does not work smoothly for me
