I bought the slightly less powerful Denon PMA-600NE to replace my 2x80 watt (8 Ohm) Magnat M3 speakers and was not disappointed. Although it has no loudness, the sound reproduction is good even at low and medium volumes after the bass has been set a little higher. At higher volumes, the bass can be set to neutral again.
CD and streaming playback is very detailed, the sound is dynamic and handles the speakers, which are designed for an amplifier twice as powerful, well.
Only with orchestral pieces of music do the middle registers appear somewhat blurred at forte/fortissimo. That's why it's only good enough for mid-range. I'm probably a bit spoilt with my experience as a musician and concert-goer...
The LED display for the input selection looks appealing in the brochure and works well when the amplifier is at eye level. In my case, the amplifier is more at floor level, so I'm left guessing whether I've set CD or phono as the input. It's no big deal, you can hear it!

I bought this PMA-600 as a replacement for my defective PMA-710 (13 years old).
The following devices were available:
- PMA-600 (I bought it)
- PMA-900 (unfortunately too big for TV furniture, would have had AirPlay built in directly, but disadvantage of FW and app dependencies)
- DRA-900 (not quite as deep as PMA-900, but would have AirPlay and DAB but also a lot of bells and whistles that I don't need, operation no longer as simple as with PMA-600)
I use the PMA-600 with KEF Q300 loudspeakers and am happy with it.

A beautiful and good sounding stereo amplifier. Crystal clear sound. The bass and treble can be adjusted on the rotary switches. It also looks good optically
