Is a good amplifier for Bookshelve boxes
I bought this amplifier because it had very good reviews everywhere. It is also quite OK, but for large floor-standing speakers it simply has too little power. Personally, I don't find the sound very balanced either - it's probably good for audiophile listening, but I want more bass and treble instead of a lot of midrange. Especially at home with room volume. I now have the Yamaha A-S701 and that is a completely different calibre.

Best British sound
I run this amplifier together with a DAC on Cambridge Audio Aeromax 2 and the sound offers everything you expect from good hifi, simply at a fraction of the price ;) The low frequency carpet is realised by an active SVS subwoofer. This combination offers full-range sound at its best and beats far more expensive systems.
