Blaupunkt Bremen SQR 46 DAB
Blaupunkt Bremen was a reference at the time. Often more expensive than the car where it was installed.
Now Made in Chi.a and all over... too bad. Miserable DAB reception, operation of the transmitter memory buttons purely random functional, menu navigation I do not know ... Jammer pity such a quality label to disgrace. Drove only about 20Km. with me, then back in the box and goodbye!

What you would expect from an (expensive) Blaupunkt radio. It has a lot of functions and fits perfectly into a newtimer in terms of design. Thanks to the short installation depth, the device fits well in the slot of old vehicles. I was very pleasantly surprised by the sound quality. I had installed a Blaupunkt radio from the noughties and then made a 1:1 comparison. Wow. The lighting can be set in different colours to match the other cockpit lighting. It's also dimmable and looks very nice and rich.
I haven't tried out telephony and DAB yet.

The radio was installed in a Mercedes W124 from 1989.
I really like the look and the colour of the lighting, which can be adapted to the vehicle.
The radio housing is very short at the back due to the lack of a CD drive, which makes it easier to install in the radio slot.
I use the radio mainly for listening to the radio via DAB. In each case, good reception was achieved with the supplied windscreen antenna (12V antenna power supply activated in the radio settings) and, on a trial basis, with an FM/DAB splitter via the original Hirschmann antenna.
Unfortunately, searching for and saving DAB stations is very cumbersome and the radio often hangs up when searching for DAB stations and remains stuck for minutes.
Since listening to DAB stations otherwise works well, I do not assume that the radio has a technical defect.
The look of the radio corresponds to the 80s/90s and is, in my opinion, very well made.
However, for me, the price/performance ratio of this radio is not right.
I am satisfied with the radio, but I would not consider buying it again because of the price (as of October 2020).

Visually, a feast for the eyes built into the classic. Unfortunately, the workmanship is not without flaws everywhere. The installation box does not hold the radio firmly. When pressed firmly, the radio visibly moves. This is due to play in the locking mechanism.
Unfortunately, the rotary knobs are also a little fiddly. It is also a pity that the Bluetooth function does not have its own button. It has to be selected in a cumbersome way by pressing the input button several times.
Due to the short installation depth, there is sufficient space for cable management.
Highlights:
- Perfectly matches the interior of my Porsche 944 in style and LED coloration
- Easy to install and set-up with iPhone, transforming the comfort of the driving experience
- High quality materials and construction. Sounds excellent.
Frustrations:
- The metal sleeve provided is slightly too big for the 944 radio opening. I suggest re-using the existing radio sleeve.
- The radio is much shorter than old ones, so it must be securely fitted.
- The interface of the LED screen takes some getting used to. Patience required to master of all its features.

A copy of the original, the vintage look is 100% preserved, with the advantages of modern connectivity. However, the quality of the finish is deplorable: the keys, the materials... it's definitely made in china. Not worth the high price at all.

I had read a lot and watched films beforehand, so I knew what I was buying. I installed it in a BMW 728i E23 (year 83) and it fits wonderfully. I don't see any optical alternative. The supplied antenna was only mounted on the windscreen with adhesive tape as a test. So far no drop-outs in the Zurich-Frauenfeld area, so it will be permanently mounted. It doesn't bother me visually, so mount it so that the small block faces the frame. At first, I installed a cheap splitter from Conrad, but since FM reception was much worse, I left it alone. The lower installation depth than "old" DIN radios is also useful to me, more space for the cables behind them.
The feel is really not like the original Bremen from the old days, but you can't have everything. Today's smartphones don't have the quality of a Nokia 3110 etc. either.
The operation is a little more difficult, many functions, but the display for the menu etc. is small for optical reasons. You can't compare it with today's radio with a large display. I practised DAB search in terms of channels or so... now a few fixes are stored and it works.
I don't want to talk about the price, because I don't have a comparison or an alternative to this radio. For me it fits, especially as my original radio had glitches anyway.
Digitec prices very fluctuating: I bought for 395.-, then it dropped to 360.-, now to 440.-.

For the nostalgic, and especially for me, who has cars from this period, this Bremen is a perfection.
Perfect device for older cars, old look, modern technology.
Perfect retro design and the latest technology
Top and fits perfectly to the Elfer
Installed and ready to go, this radio is wonderful. Notes: - Set the DAB antenna in the menu to 12V, otherwise you won't get all the stations; - Be sure to read the manual to know all the features; - Only 1 subwoofer RCA output: buy a Y cable for subwoofers with R/L inputs.

The unit gets hot quickly and switches off, but I am in contact with Blaupunkt.

Fits perfectly to oldtimer, works and without schnik schnak.
Only the microphone for hands-free operation via Bluetooth is a little weak.

Caution! In the package there is only an aerial to stick on the windscreen, which in my opinion is unsightly on an oldtimer, therefore purchased another aerial

As always, the order was delivered to the store in Dietikon in no time at all, great! Price super!
Only the person who handed me the device was not the friendliest person. When I asked another question, her demotivation to answer my question was at an all-time low. Must not have been her day.
