Good price-performance ratio. Only conditionally suitable as an access point (instead of a repeater): Has only a 100Mb/s network card built in. Moderate range.
Unfortunately, it does not work satisfactorily for me. After a few hours, mobile devices suddenly can no longer connect cleanly (no longer get an IP). This is despite the fact that the RP-AC52 has a good 5GHz connection to both the router and the client devices.
I use RP-AC52 together with a RT-AC3200. The latest firmware is installed everywhere.

I have little experience with other repeaters, yet we have already bought this Asus repeater three times as it does its job quite well.
Pro
disconnects frequently
takes up space due to its construction (hides the switch)

I already have an Asus router. I use the RP-AC52 as an addition to extend my Wifi in the garden.

The product does exactly what it is supposed to for a small price tag: increase your wifi connection radius (with a new WLAN)
The set-up is very simple but efficient and the connection is rock solid so far.
It allows dual band wifi (2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz) which matches perfectly my router.
Like any small network device, it generates quite some heat, but nothing outstanding
I recommend this product.
