Great motherboard for gaming - but do bios update as step 0!
Great motherboard - I paired it with 3960X and works like a charm. Had to do bios update otherwise RAM was making problems (Motherboard was always taking wrong timing by default).

RAM OC not possible with 3990X (big bummer)
The board is stable and heat management of VRM is exemplary especially when using 3990X. Unfortunately it is impossible to change memory speed and voltage (thus RAM will run at stock speeds) when using a 3990X Threadripper. This issue is also confirmed by ASUS website.

Because of this I have docked 4 stars, because without RAM OC, 3990X is really crippled by low memory bandwidth. Even a cheap ASROCK TRX40 Creator can OC the RAM properly with a 3990X.Pro
