It is therefore particularly suitable for the first generation of USB 3.0 compatible I/O housing panels, as these only had external connectors that had to be connected to the external connector panel of the mainboard via the back of the housing.
Since the connections there are not available for other purposes, it is recommended to use the internal connection, which is also available in the meantime (follow the mainboard specifications). For this purpose, the adapter is plugged into the 20-pin USB 3.0 header and the cables from the I/O panel are connected to it.
