To reach the bridge if there is a router in between, you can create a static route to 192.168.1.1 via the WAN interface. This allows you to access the web interface of the bridge without connecting your computer directly to the bridge. There is no routing and NAT on this bridge, as plisandro mentioned earlier.
I did exactly the same as e7lattma, but with Teleport as I didn't have a fixed IP. Later I switched from Swisscom to Init7 and still use it with the UniFi Dream Machine Pro SE, but now with a fixed IP with Wireshark and Teleport.
Hi As the device is a modem, as far as I know it does not have a routing mode, as this is taken over by your router. Lg.
GM4100 works with Teleboy 500/100 DSL subscription out of the box with DHCP. Does not require PPPoE credentials.
Yes, it works perfectly for me as a bridge in front of a Fortigate firewall and Swisscom. If you want to use the TV box behind your USG, there will be some effort/fiddly bits for multicasting. Depending on the version and generation of the Unifi products, this should probably work, with varying degrees of grief.
I forgot; the TV or telephony service is probably on a VLAN. You will lose this functionality.
