What is the difference between the "FIPS" version and the version without FIPS? Is it the smartcard function?

Can I use the Yubikey on any website that requires registration? And what if I lose the Yubikey, for example, can I still register?

The Yubikey can only be used on websites that support the Yubikey as 2FA. However, it can also be used with a password manager such as Keepass. It is best to buy two for backup.
